Old Kai

Lore & Background

Old Kai is the Supreme Kai of fifteen generations ago, who emerges from the broken Z Sword. He has the ability to draw out someone's true power beyond their limits, which he uses on Gohan. He later gives his life to Goku so that Goku can return to Earth and fight Super Buu, and gives him his Potara earrings, explaining that two people who each wear one on opposite ears will fuse together.
