Bishop's Crown
A mild, three-sided pepper with sweet wings and crisp flesh.
The bishop's crown is a cultivar of Capsicum baccatum var. pendulum, named for its three-sided shape resembling a bishop's crown. The plant reaches 3-4 ft in height and produces 30 to 50 three- or four-winged pods about 1.5 in wide. The flesh is thin and crisp, maturing from pale green to red 90-100 days after emergence. The body has very little heat, while the wings are sweet and mild.
