Background
Players follow the Assassin Arno Dorian as he tries to expose the true powers behind the Revolution and avenge the murder of his adoptive father. Unity also brought cooperative multiplayer to the series, with up to four players taking on story missions together.
Reviews were mixed. The visuals, customization and setting were praised, but the game was widely criticised for graphical issues and bugs, and Ubisoft apologised and gave away the Dead Kings expansion for free.
Despite that launch, Unity was a commercial success and had sold over 10 million units by May 2020.
