Bretonnia
The Old World's kingdom of knights, modelled on medieval France and Arthurian legend.
Bretonnia is a human kingdom in the Old World of Warhammer Fantasy, lying west of the Empire beyond the Grey Mountains and north of Estalia. Its mild climate and fertile land, and its whole character, draw on medieval France and the legends of King Arthur.
Lore & Background
The kingdom is made up of feudal dukedoms under a King, with a sharp divide between the rich knightly nobility and peasants living in poverty, and almost no way to rise between them. The enchanted forest of Athel Loren, in the southeast, nominally belongs to Bretonnia, but it is really ruled by the reclusive Wood Elves, and most Bretonnians fear the place and avoid it.
