2012 Tour de France
Liège to Paris, and Britain's first yellow jersey.
The 2012 Tour de France was the 99th edition, starting in Liège on 30 June and finishing on the Champs-Élysées on 22 July over 21 stages including a prologue, 3,496.9 km in all, with the first two road stages in Belgium and one finish in Switzerland. Bradley Wiggins won and became the first British rider to win the Tour; his teammate Chris Froome was second and Vincenzo Nibali third.
