The Bore

The hole drilled into the Dark One's prison in the Age of Legends.

The Bore is the opening that an Aes Sedai experiment in the Age of Legends inadvertently drilled into the Dark One's prison, letting his influence seep out into the world. Lews Therin Telamon and his companions eventually imprisoned the Forsaken with their master, and the seals on that prison are what the later books see breaking.
