Volkihar Clan
The vampire clan whose lord would blot out the sun.
Clan Volkihar is a powerful family of vampires in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's Dawnguard add-on, whose members can turn into monstrous vampire lords. Their leader, Lord Harkon, intends to use an Elder Scroll to blot out the sun permanently, and the Dawnguard, an organisation of vampire hunters, is dedicated to stopping the clan's return.
Lore & Background
The add-on's story is the battle between the Dawnguard and Clan Volkihar. The player can side with either, and joining the Volkihar makes the player a vampire lord. The clan's seat, Castle Volkihar, is one of the add-on's main quest hubs.
