Stormcloaks
Ulfric's rebellion against Imperial rule in Skyrim.
The Stormcloaks are the rebel faction of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, led by Ulfric Stormcloak, jarl of Windhelm, in a rebellion against Imperial rule that divides Skyrim's holds between the two sides. They are opposed by the Imperial Legion under General Tullius.
Lore & Background
The rebellion is motivated in part by the terms the greatly weakened Empire accepted after the Great War, the humiliating peace treaty called the White-Gold Concordat. The game opens with Imperial soldiers preparing to execute the captured Ulfric Stormcloak along with the player, who was caught up in the skirmish and mistaken for a rebel.
