Forest
Its landscape includes grass, trees, lakes and ponds of water, and occasional hills that can reveal cave entrances.[1] In the outer sixths of the world, Goblin Scouts begin to spawn, and the King Slime has a very low chance to spawn.[1] The pure biome covering most of the surface world, where players usually start, is the Forest.[1] Enchanted Sword Shrines appear exclusively in the outer thirds of a world within the Forest.[1]
Mountain Cave
A structure called the Mountain Cave appears in the Forest biome; it features a tall Dirt hill and a winding cave that goes underground.[2]
NPC happiness
According to NPC happiness, the Forest is liked by the Merchant, Guide, Golfer, and Zoologist, and disliked by the Dye Trader and Painter.[3]
Tips
Corruption, Crimson, and The Hallow can eliminate regular Forests, but Purification Powder or the Clentaminator with Green Solution can bring them back.[4]
Trivia
With five tracks, including those from Terraria: Otherworld, the Forest has more music than any other biome.[5]
