Martian Saucer

Background

It hovers in the air, can pass through blocks and carries four turrets that must be destroyed one at a time: two rocket launchers and two laser machine guns. The saucer itself fires a large yellow beam that points straight down and cannot be destroyed separately. Between short moves toward the player, it cycles through a rapid volley from its turrets, seven homing projectiles from its cannons that explode on contact, and a sweeping beam fired from above the player. Each destroyed turret leaves a gap of exposed wiring that sheds sparks, which linger on the ground and hurt the player. In Expert and Master Mode, destroying all four turrets starts a second phase in which the exposed core shakes violently and then chases the player, sweeping in with Martian Deathrays that pass through blocks.
