Gameplay
Battle Poker has players racing against a time limit to form the best five-card poker hand possible. Battles consist of multiple rounds, with points awarded at the end of each round based on the cards in each player's hand. Players use a pointer to click on a grid of upturned playing cards, turning a card over for all to see, and then have an opportunity to take that card into their hand. Points are also scored per round according to the quality of the hand. The game offers Single Player and Multiplayer modes. Options such as time limits, grid size, power-ups, and background graphics can be changed. Single Player modes include Shuffle Up 'n Deal, where players must make the best five-card poker hand in each row and column of a 5x5 grid by shuffling cards around, and Chain Reaction, where players aim to create as many five-card poker hand chains as possible within a set time limit, competing against the CPU over a set of rounds with the overall high score winning. Multiplayer modes support two to four players. In Classic, players search and grab cards from a face-down array, with the ability to steal cards from others or use power-ups to remove cards from their hand; the overall high score after a set of rounds wins. Wait Your Turn is similar but players take turns choosing cards with a per-round time limit. Mad Dash has players grabbing cards from a face-up but limited array within 15 seconds, again playing a set of rounds for the overall high score.
