The gameplay resembles the first Coded Arms, but offers only 13 levels plus a training stage, with no random geometry. Challenges unlock after completing a level. Full Motion Videos, a storyline, and larger landscapes are included. Players collect points to upgrade armor, health, and weapons. A new ability allows hacking computer panels, doors, and turrets. Levels are divided into Industrial Zone, Military Zone, and A.I.D.A. Core. Ragdoll physics from the previous title are absent.
Story
Special forces major Grant belongs to an elite unit testing the reconfigured A.I.D.A. combat simulation program. A.I.D.A. had spread through Earth's networks, absorbing all information and requiring users to digitize their personalities to access its data. After being contained and rewritten, the program is used for military training. During active testing, the program proves unstable. Trapped inside A.I.D.A. and guided by General Clark, Grant must locate the missing Bravo Team and defeat a viral outbreak caused by a group called Maelstrom.
