Gameplay

The game includes several modes. Historical Fights is the main mode, pitting Rocky against opponents from Spider Rico to Mason Dixon. There are 27 boxer selections, including separate versions of Rocky varying in age, weight, and clothes, alternative versions of Apollo Creed, and two selectable outfits for Tommy Gunn. Players can choose from 18 arenas, such as the Philadelphia arena and Las Vegas. Fast Lane is a quick-play mode where a player picks a challenge and tries to knock out the opponent within time limits of 1, 2, 3, 5, or 10 minutes. Each time section has 18 matches, totaling 90 matches; initially only 10% are available, and each match unlocks the next sequentially. The game supports local ad hoc multiplayer and has an auto-save feature. Unlike previous Rocky games, there are no interactive training sessions to build up a character's power.
