Adam is a primary antagonist in Nier: Automata. He is one of the twin controllers of the Machine Network, alongside his brother Eve. Adam is a physical manifestation of the Machine Network who reveals to the androids that the alien creators of the Machines were destroyed centuries ago. He is killed by 2B after he captures 9S.
