Pascal is a machine who dislikes conflict and wishes for peace, and leads a pacifist group of machines that 2B and 9S work with in Nier: Automata.

During the second half of the story A2 witnesses the destruction of Pascal's village, and the village's children take their own lives out of fear when they are attacked again. Pascal then begs A2 to wipe his memory or kill him; she can do either or leave him.
