The Pods, Pod 042 and Pod 153, are floating, box-like robots that support the androids of Nier: Automata. In combat a Pod launches customisable ranged attacks, from simple gunfire to heavy hammer blows.

Lore & Background
Once both main endings have been unlocked, Pods 042 and 153 defy their orders to delete YoRHa's data, and the player has to destroy the credits in a shoot 'em up section. The Pods have faith that 2B, 9S and A2 will forge a new future, even though they might repeat events.
