Susanoo
The Uchiha eye technique named after the storm god of Japanese myth.
Susanoo is an eye technique of the Uchiha, used in the series by Itachi, Sasuke and Madara Uchiha. It takes its name from the god Susanoo of Japanese mythology.
Lore & Background
The series restages the myth in which Susanoo slays the serpent Yamata no Orochi: during Sasuke's fight with Itachi, Orochimaru emerges in the form of the Yamata no Orochi and Itachi seals him away through his Susanoo with the Totsuka blade.
Reader's Guide
Sasuke later uses the Susanoo of his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan to kill a White Zetsu, and in his final battle with Naruto he fights with it against Naruto's Tailed Beast Mode. The anime staff also wrote a scene that combines his Susanoo with Naruto's recreation of the Nine-Tailed Fox.
