Ulman

Ulman is a Ranger of the Spartan Order who appears in Metro 2033 as a calm, capable companion during Artyom's journey through the Moscow Metro. He is first encountered when Artyom is rescued from execution by the neo-Nazi Fourth Reich—Ulman and another Ranger, Pavel, pull Artyom from danger. Later, after Pavel dies escorting Artyom out of Reich territory, Artyom reunites with Ulman on the surface, and Ulman takes him to meet Miller, the colonel of the Rangers in Polis. Ulman then joins Miller and Artyom in the mission to the Moscow State Library, helping to retrieve a map and later participating in the operation to locate and reactivate the D6 command center. He is a steady, watchful presence—offering covering fire and hard-won knowledge in a world where trust is scarce.
