Sasha

Sasha, full name Aleksandra Petrovna, is a character in the novels Metro 2034 and Metro 2035. A pretty girl unaware of her own looks, angular, in overalls and a shirt with a funny animal on it, with fair, unevenly cut hair and blue eyes, she lived with her father at Avtozavodskaya until they were expelled to Kolomenskaya, where the two survived by scavenging the surface and trading what they found for food and ammunition. At seventeen, after her father's death, she joined Hunter and Homer on their journey once the ex-Ranger had saved her life, and she seems to fall in love with him after he saves her a second time, from mutants at Paveletskaya.

Leonid later persuades her to go with him to Kievskaya in search of a cure for the plague in the Metro; when he admits he knew the cure all along she hurries back to Tulskaya to warn the survivors, but arrives too late. Presumed drowned in the Rangers' assault on Tulskaya, she is revealed in Metro 2035 to have climbed out through a hatch to the surface with three others.
