The Rodgers Transition (2012-2015)
Sturridge's Liverpool spell: 21 goals in 2013–14, Europa League final goal, and Champions League winner in 2019.
Daniel Sturridge joined Liverpool in January 2013, forming a prolific attacking partnership with Luis Suárez. In the 2013–14 Premier League season, Liverpool scored more than 100 goals, with Sturridge netting 21 and Suárez 31. Injuries curtailed his next two seasons, limiting appearances. He scored the opening goal in the 2016 UEFA Europa League final, though Liverpool lost to Sevilla. Under Jürgen Klopp, he featured mostly as a substitute and was part of the 2019 UEFA Champions League-winning squad.
