The night Krat's Puppets turned on their masters.
The Puppet Frenzy is the event that sets Lies of P in motion: in 189X Krat's obedient Puppets suddenly turned on humans in spite of the Covenant, killing much of the population while the Petrification Disease spread. Geppetto tells P that the King of Puppets, hiding in the Estella Opera House, is to blame.
Background
The real culprit is Geppetto. Through a secret Law Zero of the Grand Covenant, which names him the creator of all puppets, he ordered the Puppets to kill everyone infected with the disease, aiming to deny the Alchemists more Ergo and to let P's heart absorb Ergo so it could bring back his son Carlo. Venigni's Ergo Wavelength Decoder picks up a message from the King of Puppets that gives him away.
