Tonpa
A veteran examinee known for tricking newcomers.
Tonpa is a character in the Hunter × Hunter manga series, created by Yoshihiro Togashi. He appears during the Hunter Exam, where he interacts with the main characters.
Main characters
Tonpa is a portly man who has taken the Hunter Exam many times without passing. Known as the "Rookie Crusher", he sabotages new applicants by spiking drinks with a strong laxative. He targets Gon and his friends during their first exam, but his schemes are ultimately unsuccessful. Tonpa does not possess any notable Nen abilities and relies on trickery rather than strength. He is not a major figure in the series beyond the Hunter Exam arc, and his later appearances are limited.
Villains
He uses deceit to hinder other examinees, particularly newcomers, by offering them drugged drinks. He is not affiliated with any major criminal organization like the Phantom Troupe, nor does he possess Nen.
