The dragon trappers of How to Train Your Dragon 2 are a group led by Eret, son of Eret, who capture dragons and sell them to the warlord Drago Bludvist. They ambush Hiccup and Astrid while the pair are investigating a burnt forest.

Captured by Astrid and the other riders, Eret is made to lead them to Drago; when Drago tries to execute him, Stormfly saves him, and Eret helps the riders escape. By The Hidden World he has left trapping and joined the dragon riders, while the warlords there employ a trapper of their own, Ivar the Witless. In the television series Drago is the warlord who commands all the hunters, trappers and raiders.
