Lord Roke

Lord Roke is a Gallivespian lord in Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials who serves as Lord Asriel's spy and one of his commanders. The Gallivespians are tiny people, a hand-span tall, with poisonous heel spurs. Roke is the commander of the spies in Lord Asriel's Adamant Tower, the central fortress of the rebellion. With King Ogunwe he is sent to find and rescue Lyra from Mrs Coulter, and Asriel later has him follow Mrs Coulter to gain information from the Consistorial Court of Discipline. After his death Madame Oxentiel succeeds to his position.
