Lore & Background
When Hiro told Akito that he was in love with Kisa, Akito became furious and afterwards beat Kisa. Knowing his confession had led to the attack, Hiro stayed away from her and tried to ignore her when she started middle school, thinking it would spare her further attacks. He also accidentally witnessed Akito pushing Rin out of a window; Rin and Akito made him keep it from Hatsuharu, but he eventually worked up the courage to tell him.
Reader's Guide
Hiro tends to criticize people and seems older than he is, but he often regrets what he says once he sees how insensitive it was. His mother is one of the zodiac parents most comfortable with her child's transformation. In chapter 118 he is freed from the curse before most of the zodiac, and the first thing he does is hold his infant sister, Hinata. In the final chapter he and Kisa are presumed to be a couple.
Did You Know?
- Hiro admires Hatsuharu as a brother figure and calls him Haru-nii, "big brother Haru".
- Natsuki Takaya derived his name from fumihirogetsuki, the seventh month of the traditional Japanese calendar and the month of the Goat.
