The schemes of the Dog of the zodiac, and the feelings behind them.

Lore & Background

Shigure's deepest feelings are for Akito. Some time before the start of the series, when he learned that Akito was sleeping with Kureno, he slept with Akito's mother, Ren, in retaliation. He eventually admits to Kureno that he hopes the disruption Tohru has caused will further weaken the zodiac curse. In the end it is implied that his machinations were aimed at freeing Akito from the curse and from the need to live as a man; in the last chapter he moves in with Akito in the main Sohma house.
