Inland Empire
The Psyche skill of hunches, gut feelings and waking dreams.
Inland Empire is one of the six skills under the Psyche attribute in Disco Elysium, standing for hunches, gut feelings and dreams in waking life. It taps imagination, emotion and foreboding to sense what eyes cannot, and at high levels it brings objects to life, so the detective may find himself in conversation with his own clothes. With little of it he lacks imagination and much of a personality.

Background
ZA/UM described the skill as the intensity of the soul; in dialogue it can push the player to pass himself off under a false identity with full conviction. The fan wiki notes that the name nods to David Lynch's film of the same title.
