Revachol
The occupied former imperial capital where the game is set.
Revachol is the city in which Disco Elysium is set, on the island of Le Caillou in Insulinde, the isola known as the New New World. Founded by colonists from Suresne, it was once the capital of the Suzerainty of Revachol, the leading superpower of Elysium.
Background
Forty-nine years before the game a wave of communist revolutions overthrew the Suzerainty and replaced it with a commune, which an alliance of moralist-capitalist nations called the Coalition brought down six years later. Revachol has been a Special Administrative Region under Coalition control ever since, with policing left to the Revachol Citizens Militia.
