Shuri is a fictional character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), portrayed primarily by Letitia Wright. She is the courageous and tech-savvy younger sister of T'Challa, daughter of T'Chaka and Ramonda, and the princess of Wakanda. As Wakanda's lead scientist and a master engineer, she plays a key role in her brother's reign and later becomes the new Black Panther.

Shuri first assists her brother T'Challa after their father's death, helping him reclaim the Wakandan throne from their cousin N'Jadaka. She provides T'Challa with a new vibration-absorbent Black Panther suit and later heals Everett K. Ross using vibranium technology. She also helps remove Bucky Barnes's Hydra programming, dubbing him the 'White Wolf'.
In 2018, Shuri attempts to safely remove the Mind Stone from Vision's head but is stopped by Corvus Glaive and falls victim to the Blip. Restored to life in 2023, she joins the battle against an alternate Thanos. Following T'Challa's death, Shuri synthetically recreates the heart-shaped herb, gains the powers of the Black Panther, and defeats Namor in combat, forming an alliance with Talokan. She later loses her mother Ramonda during an attack by Namor, but had already become the Black Panther by that point.
Alternate versions of Shuri appear in the animated series What If...?, voiced by Ozioma Akagha, including one who exposes Killmonger's deception.
