Marco Bott
The 104th cadet whose mysterious death changed Jean.
Marco Bott ranked seventh in his trainee class and came from the Jinae District. A close friend of Armin and Jean, he wanted to join the Military Police to serve the king.
Background
He dies in unclear circumstances near the end of the Battle of Trost. Later it emerges that he overheard Bertolt and Reiner discussing their Marleyan mission, so Reiner pinned him down, gave his gear to Annie and left him to be eaten by a Titan. His death pushes Jean to drop his selfish attitude, and Reiner and Annie still feel guilty over it.
