In Young Justice, Empress is said to hold a piece of the Anti-Life Equation, which gives her limited mind control. Throughout the third season, Outsiders, Granny Goodness tries to access it; she deduces that Halo is its cause and has Halo captured. Darkseid secretly moves against the Light to acquire the equation so he can enslave the universe. Halo can access both the Source and the Anti-Life Equation.
