SkyClan's high ground
A gorge far upriver, where the lost Clan made its home and Firestar found its caves empty.
SkyClan's home ground in Warriors is a gorge far from the forest where the other Clans live. Driven out of the forest after humans destroyed its territory, the old SkyClan settled in the gorge, was worn down by constant attacks from rats and broke up. In Firestar's Quest, Firestar and Sandstorm travel upriver to the place, find its caves deserted and scored with tiny claw marks, and rebuild the Clan there. The gorge holds two sacred sites: the Whispering Cave and the Sky Rock.

Skywatcher, a descendant of the old Clan, meets Firestar at the gorge, tells him SkyClan's story and shows him the Whispering Cave, a cave through which cats can reach their ancestors. On the Sky Rock, Leafdapple receives her leader's name, Leafstar. In SkyClan's Destiny, six months on, a family of rats lives in a dump inside the Clan's territory, and the loner Stick teaches the Clan how to destroy it; kittypets from the nearby town come to the gorge by day to serve as 'daylight warriors'. The loner Sol has a bad experience with SkyClan at its gorge camp and afterwards sets out to break up the lake Clans. SkyClan later leaves the gorge for the lake, and in Chasing Shadows, when the Moonpool fails, Tawnypelt proposes a quest to the Whispering Cave in SkyClan's former home.
