Falme
Western city-state where the Seanchan invasion is first beaten back.
Falme is one of the four major city-states of the Westlands and the setting of the climax of The Great Hunt. The Seanchan invade it, and Rand al'Thor defeats their leader, the High Lord Turak, in single combat, while Mat Cauthon blows the Horn of Valere to summon legendary heroes against the invaders.
Lore & Background
Egwene al'Vere, Nynaeve al'Meara, Elayne Trakand and Min Farshaw come to Falme when they hear Rand is in trouble; betrayed by Liandrin of the Red Ajah, they are handed to the High Lady Suroth, and Egwene is collared with an a'dam before her friends free her. Rand is gravely wounded in his battle with Ba'alzamon at Falme, letting himself be stabbed to strike the Forsaken through the heart with his heron-mark sword.
