Altara
Westlands nation invaded by the Seanchan; its city Ebou Dar becomes their base.
Altara is a Westlands nation whose chief city is Ebou Dar, where Elayne, Nynaeve, Aviendha and Mat search for the Bowl of the Winds in A Crown of Swords before the Seanchan invade. In The Path of Daggers Rand al'Thor drives the Seanchan out of western Altara, then meets a forty-thousand-strong Seanchan army fifty miles from Ebou Dar in a battle that bleeds both sides.
