Cairhien
Westlands nation saved from the Shaido and ruled in Rand's name.
Cairhien is one of the fourteen nations of the Westlands. In The Fires of Heaven the Shaido Aiel under Couladin cross the Dragonwall to conquer the 'treekillers' and wetlanders, and Rand al'Thor with the seven clans that follow him arrives in time to save the city and defeat them; he then establishes his control of a nation torn apart by scheming.
Lore & Background
In Lord of Chaos the White Tower sends an envoy, many of them Black Ajah, to Rand in Cairhien, and Rand moves there from Caemlyn to escape the Salidar Aes Sedai; in A Crown of Swords he puts down a rebellion by Cairhienin nobles, during which Padan Fain badly wounds him. Moiraine Damodred and her sister Anvaere are Cairhienin nobility.
