Conflict with Ambrose
Kvothe's long feud with a wealthy student.
Ambrose Jakis is a wealthy student at the university and Kvothe's rival in The Kingkiller Chronicle.
Lore & Background
A trick by Ambrose gets Kvothe banned from the Archives. Later Ambrose mocks Kvothe and breaks his lute, and Kvothe, enraged, calls the name of the wind and breaks Ambrose's arm; he is lashed but not expelled. In The Wise Man's Fear Ambrose has him charged with Consortation with Demonic Powers, a capital crime. Kvothe wins in court, but the attention drives his tuition very high.
