Snow's Roses

White roses are the signature of President Coriolanus Snow and a symbol of the Snow family that The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes traces back to his mother and grandmother. Snow uses the flowers to send Katniss Everdeen messages: he gives her a rose after their meeting in Catching Fire, leaves a single rose in her bombed-out house in Mockingjay, and roses are dropped over District 13 after the Capitol bombs it.
