Background
The Sins of Our Fathers serves as an epilogue to the whole series and takes place after Leviathan Falls. It follows Filip Inaros, the son of Naomi Nagata and Marco Inaros, living in exile under the name Jacek on a primitive colony world cut off by the collapse of the Ring network.
When a reptilian predator the settlers call a water dragon threatens the colony's children, Filip has to use the training and ruthlessness he got from his father to kill it.
The stories are printed in the order they were first published, not in story order. The five-page short story The Last Flight of the Cassandra is not included.
