Sageous
The dream-witch behind King Olidan's throne and many of Jorg's nightmares.
Sageous is a pagan witch who specialises in dream-magic in Mark Lawrence's The Broken Empire trilogy. He serves King Olidan Ancrath and later Orrin of the Arrow.

Background
Through a dream, Sageous made the young Jorg Ancrath long to visit the fair at Norwood, which allowed Renar's ambush to take place, and he later tied the Brothers up in dreams so that Ancrath's soldiers could capture them. By the time of Prince of Thorns he is the king's advisor and aligned with Queen Sareth of Scorron's party. Jorg breaks his glass-tree at court, weakening his power, and once Jorg gains necromantic powers at Gelleth, Sageous flees. In King of Thorns he manipulates the dreams of Katherine ap Scorron to set her against Jorg, and sends dreams that drive Gog's fire-magic out of control.
