Background
Traditionally a county, it was ruled by Count Osson Renar, younger brother of King Olidan Ancrath. Guided by the mage Corion, Osson orchestrated Renar's ambush, in which Jorg Ancrath's mother and brother were killed. When Jorg usurped the throne he raised Renar to a kingdom and styled himself King of Renar, justified by his position as heir apparent of Ancrath. Its principal castle is the Haunt and its largest town is Hodd Town. In the Builder era the region lay in central France, on the upper reaches of the Loire.
