Background

At its greatest extent the Holy Empire held all of Europe and a large part of Afrique north of the Sahar, reaching into the steppe of the Arral Wastes as far as the Wall of Utter. Without an emperor it entered the Interregnum, and its feudal lords fought the Hundred War while the Congression failed to choose a new ruler. Its magic is a legacy of the Builders, whose world ended in the Day of the Thousand Suns.
