The series follows teenage fighters who pilot powerful ninja robot warriors to determine the future's fate.[1] It is an action anime with outstanding ninja robot elements, produced by Studio Pierrot.[1] The animation, under art director Geki Katsumata, is considered a fascinating example of excellent traditional hand-drawn art.[1]
Making and release
The series was written by Yūji Watanabe, with an original score composed by Eiji Kawamura.[1] The English adaptation used a single theme song for both opener and closer, with lyrics by Lisa McBride and performance by Jerry Cobb.[2] The Blu-ray set includes creditless openings and endings, vintage English bumpers, and an art gallery.[1] Kumiko Aoki wrote the lyrics for both the opening and closing theme songs, Yūichirō Oda composed and arranged the music, and the band HIT BOY performed them.[3]
Buz Alexander from Alexander Entertainment Group handled the production and direction of the English dub.[4]

The Blu-ray release presents the series in 1080p MPEG-4 AVC high definition at the original 1.50:1 aspect ratio.[1]
