Black blood is a substance in Soul Eater, made by the witch Medusa, that heightens madness in people.

Lore & Background

Medusa replaced Crona's blood with it, mixed with Ragnarok's essence. It can harden against damage and extend from wounds as a weapon. Soul is infected with it in the first fight with Crona, which also affects Maka, who later resists it with her Anti-Magic Wavelength. Medusa's followers revive Asura by injecting him with it.
