In December 2024, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of about 69,000 Anker Soundcore A3102 and A3302 Bluetooth speakers due to fire hazard.[2] A Kickstarter campaign for a fresh series of wireless earbuds was initiated by Anker in 2017.[3] The soundcore label made its separate debut in 2018, launching in both New York and Tokyo.[3] In Canada, a further 9,764 units were subject to recall.[2]

Anker unveiled the Anker Thus compute-in-memory chip in 2026, with the soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max being the first product to incorporate it.[4]

What the cited sources add

The Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro true wireless earbuds offer good sound and noise-cancelling at almost half the price of Apple’s AirPods Pro, according to a 2021 review by Samuel Gibbs in The Guardian.[5] The Soundcore app for Android or iPhone provides updates, settings, sound and noise-cancelling modes, and a full equaliser with pre-sets.[5] The HearID feature in the app creates a personalised sound profile after a short hearing test.[5] The recalled Anker Soundcore Bluetooth speakers were sold exclusively on Amazon in 2023 and involved lithium-ion battery packs in models A3102016, A3302011, and A3302031.[6]

Anker released the $39 Spirit X earbuds under the Soundcore brand in June 2018, according to TechCrunch.[7] According to a report from the IT news site IT之家, the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus outdoor speaker delivers 140W of power and reaches 103dB in volume.[8]
