Background
He comes from Birka, which he destroyed before arriving on Skypiea, and six years before the story begins he overthrew Gan Fall, the island's previous ruler, and annexed the land. Under him Skypiea was policed by God's Army: Eneru himself, the God's Priests with their ordeals, and fifty Enforcers.
His Logia-type Rumble-Rumble Fruit lets him generate and manipulate electricity and turn his body into it. Combined with Observation Haki, known on Skypiea as Mantra, that power stretches his hearing across the whole country, so anyone who speaks against him can be punished at once. His enormous earlobes hang to his chest, a nod to images of the Buddha, and like the thunder god Raijin he carries a ring of drums on his back.
After Luffy defeats him, Eneru flies his ship, the Ark Maxim, into space and lands on the Moon, where he learns that the Skypieans, Shandians and Birkans all came from there. Toshiyuki Morikawa voices him in Japanese, Wayne Grayson in the 4Kids dub and J. Michael Tatum in the Funimation dub.
