Lore & Background

Big Mom was the first of the Four Emperors to form a pirate empire, ahead of Whitebeard and Kaido. She is one of the seven different Emperors of the Sea during the story of One Piece. Her power comes from the Soul-Soul Fruit, which she uses to extract lifespan from others and create Homies—living entities made from objects like furniture, weather, or animals. She commands the Big Mom Pirates and rules over Totto Land, a candy-themed island. Despite her monstrous reputation, she is deeply devoted to her massive family, though she frequently discards children who fail to meet her expectations. Following the events of the Onigashima war, Big Mom was defeated, and Monkey D. Luffy and Buggy were considered the new members to replace her and Kaido as Emperors.
