Yui Ikari

Yui Ikari is a figure in the background of Neon Genesis Evangelion, serving as the mother of protagonist Shinji Ikari and the wife of Gendo Ikari. Her soul resides in Evangelion Unit-01. She is mentioned in relation to Gendo's plan to reunite with her through his version of the Human Instrumentality Project.
