Lore & Background
According to Lewis's timeline, Calormen extended west into Telmar about three centuries after the world's creation, but within two years the Calormenes there behaved so wickedly that Aslan turned them into dumb beasts and the land was left empty. More than a century later pirates from our world reached Telmar through a rare gateway between the worlds; their descendants, the Telmarines, later conquered Narnia.
