How it changed

The opening theme for the anime is "Endless Loop" by Rouage.[3] The anime adaptation stayed close to the original story but omitted later plot elements including Senju's assassination attempt and the Suzuno Murder Race episode.[4] Volumes 1 through 5 of the manga correspond to the content covered by the anime.[3] In Japan, the anime became available on home video initially as VHS releases and subsequently as DVD releases.[3]

Japan saw multiple stage play adaptations of the manga; the inaugural production opened in 2012.[5] A DVD containing a filmed version of that first stage production came out in July 2013.[5] Kinokuniya Hall in Tokyo was the venue for the third stage play, running January 25–28, 2019.[5]

What the maker and period sources say
