Hachi's Pregnancy
The discovery that leads Hachi to marry Takumi.
Soon after Hachi breaks off her affair with Takumi to be with Nobu, she finds out she is pregnant, revealed in chapters 25 and 26. She decides Takumi is better placed to support her and the baby, since Nobu would have to quit Black Stones and go back to his family's inn, and she does not want to cost him or the band their dream.
Background
Takumi stays calm about the news and the two marry, at first only on paper, putting off the wedding because of Nana Osaki's engagement to Ren. The later flash-forward chapters show Hachi as the mother of a son, Ren, and a daughter, Satsuki.
